Ayurveda in Dubai from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi or Oman
Published by Vaidika Ayurvedic Centre, Deira, Dubai
Many people who look for Ayurveda in Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi or Oman end up choosing a doctor rather than the nearest address. Vaidika Ayurvedic Centre is in Deira, directly opposite Deira City Centre, which makes it one of the easiest Ayurvedic clinics in Dubai to reach from outside the city. This guide covers how to get here and how to plan treatment if you live in another Emirate or are visiting from Oman.
Vaidika is opening soon. You can message us on WhatsApp now to reserve a consultation slot for the opening weeks.
How far is Vaidika from where you live?
Deira sits on the Sharjah side of Dubai, so the centre is closer to the Northern Emirates than most Dubai clinics. Typical travel times outside rush hour:
- From Sharjah: about 20 to 30 minutes by car, depending on where you start.
- From Ajman: about 35 to 45 minutes by car.
- From Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah: about 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes by car.
- From Abu Dhabi: about 1 hour 30 minutes by car.
- From Al Ain: about 1 hour 30 minutes by car.
- From Fujairah: about 1 hour 30 minutes by car.
- From Oman: Dubai International Airport is about 10 minutes from the centre, and Deira City Centre Metro Station is a short ride from the airport terminals on the Red Line.
Paid parking is available at Deira City Centre mall, directly opposite the centre, and the Metro station is about two minutes on foot.
Planning a course of treatment from another Emirate
Ayurvedic treatment often runs as a course rather than a single visit. A doctor may recommend daily sessions over 7, 14 or 21 days, depending on your condition and the therapies chosen. If you live outside Dubai, plan this with the doctor at your first consultation:
- Tell the doctor where you are travelling from. The plan can take your travel time into account, for example by grouping therapies so you come on fewer, longer days where that is clinically appropriate.
- Use the late hours. From opening day, the centre is open 10:00 to 22:00, seven days a week, which should suit many people travelling from Sharjah and Ajman after work.
- Keep the rhythm. Some programmes, such as Panchakarma, depend on daily sessions in a fixed order. If daily travel is not realistic for you, say so before the programme starts rather than skipping days.
Visiting from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain or Oman
For longer programmes, some people prefer to stay in Dubai for the duration. Deira has a wide range of hotels and serviced apartments within walking distance of Deira City Centre, and the Metro connects the area to the rest of the city. If you are planning a stay, message us first so the doctor can advise how long the programme is likely to be before you book accommodation.
If you are coming from Oman, bring any recent medical reports and a list of your current medicines to your first consultation. The doctor will review them before recommending any treatment.
What happens at your first visit
Every treatment at Vaidika starts with a consultation with a DHA-licensed Ayurvedic doctor. The doctor reviews your health history, lifestyle and any reports you bring, and then recommends a plan. You can read more in our guide to your first Ayurvedic consultation or see the treatments we offer.
