Care through every stage
Ayurvedic care for PCOS, periods and menopause in Dubai at Vaidika Ayurvedic Centre is planned around your cycle, your life stage and the care you already receive. Ayurveda looks at digestion, sleep, stress and constitution alongside your symptoms, and plans change as your body does. Our centre opposite Deira City Centre is opening soon, and every plan will be designed by a DHA-licensed Ayurvedic doctor after a consultation.
Concerns we help manage
- Painful periods and premenstrual symptoms
- Irregular periods, once your gynaecology team has assessed the cause
- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), including irregular cycles and weight changes
- Perimenopause: changing cycles, disturbed sleep and mood changes
- Menopause: hot flushes, night sweats, joint aches and low energy
For care in the weeks after childbirth, see our page on postnatal Ayurvedic care.
Your first consultation
Every treatment begins with a consultation with a DHA-licensed Ayurvedic doctor. It includes:
- a personalised physical assessment and a detailed menstrual history
- a Prakriti assessment of your constitution
- Nadi Pariksha, the traditional pulse examination
- lifestyle and dietary counselling, covering food, sleep, activity and stress
Bring any ultrasound reports, blood test results and a list of your medicines. A record of your cycle over the last few months is also helpful. Please tell the doctor if you are pregnant, could be pregnant or are trying to conceive.
How Ayurvedic care for PCOS, periods and menopause in Dubai works
Depending on the assessment, a plan may include:
- Internal Ayurvedic medicines prescribed by the doctor
- A personalised diet plan and daily-routine advice suited to your cycle and life stage
- Therapeutic yoga, chosen for your symptoms and energy levels
- Abhyanga: warm medicated oil massage, traditionally used to support relaxation and sleep
- Shirodhara: a steady stream of warm oil over the forehead, traditionally used for stress, sleep and mood changes around menopause
- Udwarthanam: herbal-powder massage, where weight management is part of the plan, as it often is with PCOS
- Panchakarma procedures, given only where the doctor considers them appropriate
These may help with relief from symptoms and support more settled cycles, sleep and energy. Hormonal conditions change slowly, so plans are usually reviewed across several cycles, and the doctor will be honest about what is realistic.
Working alongside your gynaecology care
Ayurvedic care at Vaidika works alongside your existing medical care, including your gynaecology team and GP. Please do not stop prescribed medicines, including the contraceptive pill, hormone therapy or medicines for PCOS, without the advice of the doctor who prescribed them.
When to see a doctor urgently
Seek urgent medical care if you have:
- very heavy bleeding, such as soaking through a pad or tampon every hour, or feeling faint or dizzy
- any bleeding after your periods have stopped for a year or more
- sudden, severe pain in the lower abdomen or pelvis, especially if you could be pregnant
- pelvic pain with fever or an unusual discharge
- bleeding or pain during pregnancy
Bleeding between periods or after sex should also be checked by your gynaecology team without delay.
What a programme looks like
Women’s health plans usually run over several weeks or cycles with doctor reviews. Where therapies are included, programmes commonly run for 7, 14 or 21 days, with sessions of 45 to 90 minutes. From opening day, sessions run 10:00 to 22:00, seven days a week.
The centre is opposite Deira City Centre, about two minutes from Deira City Centre Metro (Red Line). Some UAE insurance plans cover Ayurvedic care, and we check cover with your insurer before treatment begins. Request an appointment or message us on WhatsApp.

Good to know
Questions about women's health
Can Ayurveda help with PCOS?
Ayurvedic medicines, diet, routine and therapies are traditionally used in the management of PCOS and may help support more regular cycles, weight management and overall wellbeing. Care runs alongside your gynaecology team, and we make no promises about specific results.
Can Ayurveda help with painful periods?
Diet, routine, internal medicines and therapies are traditionally used for relief from period pain. Very painful periods should also be assessed by your gynaecology team, as they can have underlying causes that need medical care.
Can Ayurveda help with menopause symptoms?
Ayurvedic care may help with relief from symptoms such as disturbed sleep, low mood, hot flushes and joint aches. The doctor will plan around any hormone or other treatment you already take.
Can I continue the medicines my gynaecology team prescribed?
Yes. Ayurvedic care works alongside your existing medical care. Do not stop prescribed medicines, including hormonal treatments, without the advice of the doctor who prescribed them.
What if I am pregnant or trying to conceive?
Tell the doctor at the consultation. Some therapies and medicines are not used in pregnancy, and the plan will be adjusted. If you are trying to conceive, your gynaecology team should lead your care.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
Some UAE insurance plans cover Ayurvedic care. We check cover with your insurer before treatment begins.
