DHA-licensed Insurance accepted Opposite Deira City Centre
Recovery, the Ayurvedic way
Ayurveda gives particular attention to the weeks after childbirth, a period known as Sutika Kala. The aim is to support physical recovery, digestion, sleep and energy while the body adjusts. At Vaidika in Deira, postnatal care is planned by a DHA-licensed Ayurvedic doctor after a consultation, and only once your obstetric team has cleared you for therapy.
What postnatal care includes
- Abhyanga: gentle warm medicated oil massage to ease muscle aches, support circulation and help sleep
- Herbal steam or herbal bath following the massage
- Abdominal binding guidance and gentle core-support advice
- Ayurvedic medicines selected for recovery and, where relevant, lactation support
- A nourishing diet plan with warm, easy-to-digest meals suited to the postnatal period
- Doctor reviews during the course to adjust the plan
Therapies are delivered by female therapists in a private room, and appointments can be timed around feeds.
When to start and how long it takes
Most mothers begin one to two weeks after a normal delivery, or four to six weeks after a caesarean, and take a course of 7 to 21 daily sessions of about 60 minutes. The doctor decides timing based on your delivery and health.
